Drew Melville is a Florida-licensed attorney with twelve years' experience in real estate transactions, title insurance and land use. His practice includes all aspects of commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, financing, joint venture formation, leasing and land use approvals. Mr. Melville is a title agent for Old Republic and First American title insurance companies in Florida.
Mr. Melville's practice is national in scope, and he brings a creative and solution-oriented approach to his clients' diverse array of real estate investment and development activities. These often include adaptive reuse, historic preservation, sustainable building and brownfields and grayfields redevelopment and opportunity zones. Prior to starting his own firm, he was an in house counsel for The Viera Company, the land development arm of A. Duda and Sons, Inc., a large, diversified land company and agribusiness firm. To date, Mr. Melville has closed the acquisition, disposition and financing of over $540 million in commercial real estate transactions in every asset class.
Mr. Melville has served on the city of Fort Lauderdale Historic Preservation Board and is active with the Urban Land Institute, serving on ULI Florida's statewide Urban Development and Mixed Use Product Council. He is also an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and a regular attendee of ICSC's U.S. Law Conference. An umpteenth generation musician, he enjoys playing and listening to music and spending time outdoors with his wife Angela and their young children.
